Our Values

Presence

An inner knowing that’s essentially indefinable, but you know it when you experience it. You can see it in the brightness of someone’s eyes, hear it the quaking of an Aspen tree or feel it in a moment of quiet inner stillness.

It’s an invisible connection to Self, Others, and something Greater… yet a tangible fact like gravity.

We believe Presence is an intangible force of healing on a deeper level, and having awareness of it cultivates an environment that primes the nervous system pump for healing. Presence = Healing.

Natural Order

There is a natural rhythm to the Universe. Life moves through cycles of expansion and contraction, both of which are a normal part of its flow.

We see it in the ocean waves, traffic patterns, lines at Starbucks, our breath through the rib cage.

We are a part of Life and are naturally designed to shift between states of contraction and expansion. More allowance and alignment with this rhythm results in less suffering. The more we fight it, the harder life becomes. Fight less. Flow more.

The process often knows what it’s doing, even when the rational mind resists it.

Flexibility Mindset

Research talks about two predominant mindsets: Flexibility and Rigid. We believe that every human has both, and this is natural.

Nurturing characteristics of flexibility tends to yield greater alignment and desirable outcomes for all parties involved. Choose Flexibility.

Agency

Some things are best defined by what they’re not – Agency is the opposite of Learned Helplessness.

We all need a sense of control in our lives; directing energy toward what’s actually ours to influence strengthens our sense of capability. Agency gives us Choice and Capacity to influence our lives, in spite of things we can’t control.

Agency allows us to move from powerlessness to possibility, including healthy interdependency. Agency = Personal Power.

Radical Incrementalism

Huh? What’s that?!

An approach to lasting change rooted in intentional, repeated actions over time.

Our culture teaches us to search for the silver bullet, quick-fix to feel better faster. Unfortunately, this often leads to disappointment, unsustainable Boom-Bust cycles, and feeling like a failure way more often than we want.

Radical incrementalism offers another path: developing the capacity to trust that small actions, practiced consistently, create meaningful and lasting change.

Plus, it’s the most potent form of anti-venom for burnout that we know. Much like the tortoise and the hare, it’s not always fun but we do believe that a Slow and Steady Pace Wins the Race.
