Full of Care vs. Careful

by | Jan 5, 2021

The words we think and speak matter.

So does the energy that goes with them.

CAREFUL

Imagine a child about to cross the street, her mother standing at a distance fraught with worry and yells out “be careful!”

What kind of chemicals do you think are running in her system… stressed or relaxed?

FULL OF CARE

Now imagine a different child about to cross that same street, the mother standing back at a distance, confident and trusting in her Knowing. This mother Knows she did her best to help her child learn to look both ways before safely crossing the street. She doesn’t speak any words… but she is “full of care.”

What kind of chemicals do you suppose she has running in her system… stress or relaxed?

Being “careful” is often collapsed together with fear, worry, and anxiety. Loads of stress chemicals surging through a system.

Being “full of care”, on the other hand, elicits an open, warm, safe and trusting experience where the body is pumping loads of relaxation chemicals.

I invite you to be “full of care” this coming new year. There’s a lot to care for as we bring 2020 to a close, and I include you in that camp.

I invite you to limit your being “careful” this coming 2021, and be “full of care” instead… to grow more relaxation responses in your system… and plant some beautiful seeds of health in body, mind, and being.

Dr. Renee Ostertag

The Happiness Advantage. It’s a book I just finished reading and it’s been a game changer for me. There’s a concept in it you will find helpful, and it’s as simple as your ABCs + add a D.

Healing is Like a Fart in the Hot Tub

It’s erratic, inconsistent and unpredictable. You never know when it’s going to bubble up. Or where. You cannot predict the timing or location of this fart bubble, or the course it will take to get to the surface from its sometimes trapped place in your shorts.
