COVID-19 Response
At Green Tree Mind, we are taking COVID 19 Coronavirus precautions seriously. Here is what we are doing now that we have received stay-at-home orders from Denver mayor, Michael B. Hancock:
We offer remote video-sessions that enable you to continue your therapy without coming to the clinic.
You know that your therapy is helping and want to continue. To maintain your therapeutic momentum during these times of social caution, you can utilize telehealth sessions.
Most insurance carriers have approved teletherapy during this period of aggressive containment. If you are interested in this remote-video-session option, your therapist can give you more information about how to proceed.
The clinic will be as safe and sanitary as possible.
- Sanitizing the rooms, bathrooms, door handles, etc. multiple times per day.
- Maintaining the 4’ recommended social distance with patients/clients. (We like you, but we will be sticking to waves and elbow bumps for a while!)
- Washing hands and/or sanitizing before and after each session.
- If you prefer to wait in your car until session starts, Renee can call or text you when session is ready to start.
Take breaks from the news. It can be overwhelming!
Try mindfulness exercises.
Try these mindfulness meditation downloads (it’s free) by Oxford professor Mark Williams and Dr. Danny Penman.
Eat healthy, exercise, and get plenty of sleep.
Get creative, especially since you’re stuck at home.
If you need support, reach out to people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
Continue with therapy and explore a series of nerve calming exercises.
