The Christmas Truce of 2014
Christmas Truce of 2014… 100 year anniversary of 1914.
I was reminded about the truce of WWI during Christmas of 2014 this morning, where fighting in many regions of Germany was put on hold to fraternize and celebrate peace amongst the fighting troops. How amazing and inspiring, that in the midst of an atrocious war, people were able to stop and find some joy. I’m sure it was needed for the soldiers more than I could ever imagine.
It made me think of my life, and my community. I know that all of us have struggles. It may be at home, or work, it may be a challenge in a relationship, with family, or a friend. Or, it may be the battle in your own head… your loving and wise Sage mind is getting hijacked by the trickster Saboteur voices of the Survivor Brain! Whatever the case may be, we all have things in life that rob us of our peace. My greatest wish and hope for you this holiday season is that you find peace.
I am reminded of the Serenity Prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
Whatever flavor of holiday you enjoy… Make it a great one!
Happy Kwanza, Christmas, Hanukkah, and just a wonderful life indeed.
Bats, Lobsters, and a Decade
Are you feeling the struggle bus of today’s challenges? Here are 3 fun things to spark some joy! Happy October, everyone.
Getting Dressed Up in Loving Support
Things have felt so hard… for so long… for so many. It’s ok not to be ok, and it’s ok to need support. Learn how to “feel the love” again.
Short and Sweet
I’m exhausted… you probably are too. So I’m keeping it short and sweet this month. If you’re exhausted from it all, check out this video. It can help.
